Fantastic Eleven Plus (11+) Results!!!!

The 11+ results were released for students in Gloucestershire County over the weekend and at Achievers Tutoring, is all smiles. Our students have passed the 11+ exams enabling them to gain admission to the top Grammar School across Gloucestershire County. Notably among them was a boy who joined as in August, 3 weeks before the 11+ exams. The parents were not sure if he could make it so one of our experienced tutors accessed the student and promised the parents that we could work with him and get him to pass the exams. The tutor had ONLY 14 lessons with this boy and when the results were released over the weekend, this boy PASSED the 11+ exams. In this county, we can boast of some of the best Grammar Schools across the country and it is a privilege for the students and their parents for such amazing opportunity. In Gloucestershire County, we have 7 Grammar Schools which give parents choice and the opportunity to have access to quality education for their children if they so desire. However, there is fierce competition for places as children are expected to pass a rigorous 11+ exams which students are not exposed to the nature and style of the questions in their primary schools. According to Secondary schools league tables 2016 report, 'Grammar School children excel while comprehensive students falls behind' ( The Telegraph, 2017). Official data released by the Department for Education (DfE) shows that 94 per cent of children at grammar schools have made good progress by the time they are 16, compared to less than half (49 per cent) of students at non-selective schools. This is the major reason why parents are doing everything possible to get their children in a Grammar school because they know that given their children this opportunity will give them the foundation they need to become successful in the future. Grammar school offers the children the platform to thrive and shine and therefore if the opportunity exists in your county, why not take it.
